Howdy!
This guestbook just seemed a little bit empty... like the new frontpage though! Anyhow - now that I have got the ball running (?) I am confident this guestbook will be bursting with activity!!

Congratulations! You've both cut loose the chains of capitalism - so you may now go forth and spread the doctrine of indolence throughout the world! Your itinerary is great. Hope you're able to pause in places that strike your fancy. You'll surely make discoveries and we'll look forward to your reports. We notice that you're staying away from Japan during June and Copa Mundial ... you should have all the rest of Asia to yourself! Have great adventures. Cheers!

My son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon Hobbs told me about your trip and your Web-site. This is a wonderful story and you put it together in such a delightful way. It gives me some ideas for later on. I'm looking forward to your entry on Yekaterineburg. I was one of the first Americans to visit that forlmerly closed city in 1990. I'm interested in learning about current conditions--social, economic and political. I hope we can meet some day. You seem to be an interesting couple I would enjoy knowing.

Hello Ian & Sara, we're in Yangshuo now and will be here until Tues morning. Will you be here before then? Is so it would be brilliant to meet up and find out all about you trip to the Three Gorges. Our visit to Chengdu was tiring (what with all the train travel) but definately worth it to see the pandas. I even got the chance to hold a baby one which definately made my trip in China, Alan didn't bother because it cost 100 yuan - typical Yorkshire man!Great website, Alan's now dreaming of doing one when we get home.Take it easyFaye & Alan

Hi guys! I've just returned home. Had a fabulous couple of weeks in Mongolia, and, after that first dance class we had on the Mongolian train station I taught a few more classes in other strange places - like when our jeep was broken down on the side of the road. I missed catching up with Polly in Hong Kong, but we may still cross paths in Australia. Hey, what weekend did you say you were in Sydney? I'll be there for a dancing competition on the 14th September? Your trip all sounds grand . . . I look forward to keeping up to date on your adventures, love Helga

I'd love to get to Cambodia - a friend of mine lives in Siem Riep so I'm pretty keen to do some adventuring around Anghkor Wat one day. For me, having been home now for about 6 weeks I sometimes feel like I haven't even been away . . . but then I just look at my photo's (or read websites such as yours) and the good memories just come flooding back! Jacob ALMOST came to Melbourne week before last, but ended up heading straight to Auckland - maybe you can swap Mongolian stories with him there . . .Take care,Helga

Ian, I can't believe the trip has ended. I've got much pleasure from being an armchair traveller and reading your updates! Don't s'pose you can make some entertaining and witty udpates out of life at home can you? I hope the close of this chapter - and I stress "chapter" because clearly your travel log has many more chapters to be written! - finds you happy and healthy. Take care, and love to Sara too,

Gidday Ian and SaraWow, Im really impressed with your web site, better than I can do any day.Do you remember me? or is that a silly question, you have really grown up to be a handsome fella since I last saw you - 5th form maths, Parkway College???I phoned your mum today just to say hi and that I still exist, she was rapt to hear from me. We had a really good catch up.Philip my brother is back from his OE experience on Wednesday. He went for 12 weeks, he could have visited you, next time perhaps.I am well and am a proud mum to a beautiful daughter, Natalie, shes 7 months already, born on Jeffs birthday I see from your dates to remember.I live up to Coast, Paraparaumu now, have been for the last 6-7 years. I really like it up here, we dont get the cold winters like Wainui used to.Well Ian, congrats on your marriage, I hope you guys are really happy and I might hear from you some time.Kind regards Stella :)

Hi Uncle Ian and Aunty Sara, Wow, looks like no-one has left a message in the guestbook for a while, least not in 2004 so we are the first. Dad has just finished showing us all of your new photos from your place in London and your side trip to Amsterdam. Looks cool! Its bloody hot (oops, Dad says we shouldn't swear) here in Sydney at the moment, forecast to be 40 degrees (celsius) tomorrow. Lots of love to you both from the Cheeky Monkey and Aidan the Jamaican

Great Website. Really Enjoyed the layout. Impressed by your menu and thought the simplicity was well done. Often websites are overdone in my opinion, but yours is great. Just in case you didn't know I am from your LAW529 class. See you in class!

Sara, I have been flying since the beginning of commercial aviation after WWII. I have had many flying companions. I was privileged and lucky to have you as my companion on the many hours between Dallas and LaGuardia on Monday, July 18th. Your company made the time appear shorter and lovelier. Hope to see you with Ian so that Judy can meet you, too. Best wishes, Alex Harris
